I downloaded the Smart app 5/days ago but it didn't help. I re installed it today and now the printer is working!  Thanks for the help Angryofnewport!

I uninstall the HP Smart app on computer and reinstall.  Still does not work.

Did you also do the factory reset on the printer? I don't know if this makes a difference but it's one of the things I tried last week.  On Sunday I did the reinstall of the app.

It worked when I reset the factory setting defaults.  Thanks so much for your help.
