HP Envy 5020
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Have a new HP Envy 5020 setup seemed to be going ok. But when sending any print from laptop i get an "ERROR CODE OXB8D592FE" on the printer sceen, the only way i could clear it was turn printer off. If i clear the print queue on my laptop i can access the printer (after turning off and back on again), but if i don't clear the print queue i get the error code immiediatly after the printer is turned on.

Tried removing cartridges and putting them back in. Can print from the printer screen but cant print from any device i have? Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Hi @Dave166

Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips

I understand that your printer is giving the "ERROR CODE OXB8D592FE"

I'd like to help.

Please do a Printer Reset

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.
(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Have you tried updating your printer firmware?

This is the least helpful response. Turn it off and on again and if that still doesn't work call for help.....
