I have recently upgraded my older HP F4580 series printer to a HP Envy 5030 to take advantage of the Instant Ink service.
The problem is that since the first page on the cartridges that came with it and now with the new Instant Ink that arrived the colours are really really bad in photo printing.
I have tried to print from two different PC's a Windows 10 and Windows 7 machine and i have also as a test taken some photos printed on the F4580 and direct scan copied them on the Envy 5030 and each time the colours do not look right, the Pinks and Reds are way to vibrant to the point they become unrecognisable as an item of clothing etc. and are just a colour.
The Greens of plants and grass are way too strong also, as are Blues, a picture of some bluebells looked like they were really fake and overly dark blue.
I have tried using different papers also, I have HP photo Glossy paper and this looks no different to 2 other brands premium photo glossy paper.
There is someting very wrong with the way the printer is mixing the ink. Or is this is all this particular printer is capable of? in which case it is not at all fit for purpose as a replacement to my old device which works flawlessly.
Is there any firmware update that can resolve this issue or is my device maybe faulty?
Many Thanks
Luke

Hi! @Luke-R-123,
I have checked the printer specifications and the maximum print resolution you get is Up to 1200 x 1200 rendered dpi (when printing from a computer)
Try changing the DPI settings to print the best quality.
To print in maximum dpi mode (Windows)
1. From your software, select Print.
2. Make sure your printer is selected.
3. Click the button that opens the Properties dialog box.
Depending on your software application, this button might be called Properties, Options, Printer Setup,
Printer Properties, Printer, or Preferences.
4. Select the appropriate options.
Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows 8
● Click Paper/Quality tab. From the Paper Size drop-down list, select the appropriate paper size.
From the Paper type drop-down list, select the appropriate paper type.
● Click the Advanced tab. Select Print in Max DPI.
