The printer is stuck after two dots on the screen during boot up process. Have disconnected power and restarted numerous times with no success. Cannot update firmware since printer cannot finish reboot / power cycle on to connect to computer or internet. Please help! Thank you.

Hi @jmanj,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see that your HP ENVY 5055 All-In-One Printer is stuck in the boot up process.
Please follow the steps listed below to reset the unit.
1. With printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
2. Unplug the power cord from the power source.
3. Wait 60 seconds.
4. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.
NOTE: HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
5. Turn the printer on.
Hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hello, I had already tried your suggestion many times, as well as purchasing a printer USB-A/B cable to see if that would help. I had read a few posts where the HP Support representative had said they would directly message special reset instructions if the simple power cycle process did not work. Can you please send me those instructions or offer additional support? This is very frustrating! Thank you.
