Please help... While I can print saved documents using the HP Smart App, I am unable to print directly from Outlook, Word, PowerPoint etc without first saving the doc and then reopening it in the HP Smart App.  Any thoughts on what I can do to fix this?

You may not have a default printer setup.

I assume you have Windows and not Mac.

I  do  not let Windows manage the default printer as it once tried to print a spreadsheet on my label printer.

Hi there, Appreciate your response.
The HP Envy is in fact set up as my default printer.  However, I still followed the link you provided and then made the change to "Let Windows manage my default printer" and tried to print an email... but got the same result... a blank page 😞

When I print using HP Smart I am limited to PDF files.  I suspect your printer does not have the full software package and word is unable to convert to PDF for the printer.  Just guessing.

Try the full feature driver

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/EN5000/Full_Webpack-44.11.2778-EN5000_Full_Webpac...

some instructions are here

some other thoughts but just a guess as I do not have your printer.

If there is a choice between a PDF and a PCL printer, chose the PDF for the default.

I have PCL6 (laserjer) printer so I use PCL6.  However, if there is a choice between PCL3 and just the name of the printer then pick PCL3 (inkjet)

Can you print a test page from the printer list?
