If I upgrade my iMac OS beyond the current 10.9 Mavericks, will I be able to obtain the appropriate HP software and printer drivers for my excellent HP Envy 5530 Instant Ink Printer. I lost compatibility with other excellent functioning HP printers when I upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and DO NOT want to see this happening again. Please advise.

Hi @Grandpa-Pete,
Thank you for the reply.
The 12.34 version Envy 5530 printer full feature software and drivers are compatible with OS X 10.9, 10.10, and and 10.11, so it is the same vertion listed under 3 OS versions. You can upgrade the system with no worries. THe printer is surely compatible. You can refer to HP Printers - OS X v10.11, v10.10 Compatible Printers
Let me know if you have any concern.

Hi @Grandpa-Pete,
Welcome to HP Forums!
I have read you post and wanted to help.
I understand that you want to confirm that if there is a printer driver compaitbile with the newer version of MAC OS. I check the driver support page for you. It has printer drivers for MAC OS X 10.10 and 10.11. Here is the link of the driver: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-5530-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5304881/mod...
You can select the appropriate OS on the page.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Thanks for this info, but I am still uncertain and confused. The printer software and drivers etc shown when you put in Mac OS X 10.10 or 10.11 are described as those for 10.9 Mavericks and are the ones currently on my iMac.
As I said in my post, I need to be certain that drivers are available before I decide to upgrade my OS. This description only adds to my uncertainty. Although updates come through Apple Software Update, surely HP provide them to Apple, hence my query on the HP Support Forum. I will not be upgrading my Mac OS X unless I have confidence that my superb HP Envy 5530 printer will retain its full functionality.
