My Envy 5540 has stopped printing in colour. I have checked the printer levels, re-installed the drivers, cleaned the cartridges and, before printing, I check and change the settings to colour. Each time I go to the settings it is set to Monochrome and I have to change it.
When the cleaning programme was running it printed in colour however on printing a page it came out as Black & White.
What else can I do to resolve this problem?
I am using an Acer Aspire 5 laptop, running Windows 10, 64 bit.
Thank you for any assistance you may be able to provide.

Hi,
In addition to @kenxfromjapan suggestions above, you may also try below steps which being done more automatically:
Try following below version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe
Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.

Please try adding the printer using an IP address -
1. Select "Start" and type "printers" in the search box.
2. Choose "Printers & scanners".
3. Select "Add a printer or scanner".
4. Wait for the "The printer that I want isn't listed" option to appear, then select it.
5. Select "Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname" , then select "Next".
6. Select "TCP/IP Device" in the "Device type" list.
7. Type the hostname or the IP address of the printer. Select "Next". To find the IP address of the printer, touch the Wi-Fi icon on the printer's control panel.
8. Windows should find the printer if the printer is on and configured correctly.
You may have to specify more information. If prompted, Select the type of network adapter installed in the printer in the "Device Type" drop-down list. You can also click "Custom" to specify custom settings for the network printer. Select "Next".
