Hello All,

I am getting a problem with automatic duplex printing - I can't print on both sides automatically.

At first, the driver was not detecting the auto duplex unit- I got the exact same screen as the one in this post : https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Software-and-Drivers/Hp-Envy-5544-Printing-Problems/m-p/722107...

Then I found this post:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Inkjet-Printing/HP-Envy-5544-Duplex-printing/td-p/6617374

And as a result I finally got the driver to detect the auto duplex unit. But still the problem persists: I can't print on duplex mode automatically, it still prompts me to flip the page manually.

I also detected a pattern between all the people that reported this case: they all have new HP pc's with 64-bit Win10 - which is also my case.

Like it wouldn't make a lot more sense an HP computer work better with an HP printer than any other device.

Well anyway, How can I solve this for good?

Hi,

Try following below version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.

Please let me know the results,

It now went well - finally! : )

I had tried this before, but not after the driver reinstallation.

Thank you for the quick response!
