I have the envy 5660 printer. Both inks are half full. I don't use the printer very often and run into issues where the black ink is very faded when printing. Is there any way to revive it or do i need to get new ink. I hate wasting money on ink. Ive tried using a non fiber moist towel to wipe the ink cartridges and the ports per HP but still won't print correctly.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing print quality issues.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
Are you facing the same issue when you make a copy?
Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.
Follow these steps to align the printer from the control panel.
-
Load U.S. letter or A4 size, unused, plain white paper into the input tray.
-
On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup
.
The Setup menu displays.
-
Swipe the display down, and then touch Printer Maintenance.
-
Touch Align Printer.
-
After the printer prints the alignment page, touch OK, and then recycle or discard the alignment page.
-
Try to print.
If you continue facing the issue, then replace the ink cartridge and check.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
