My brand new Envy 6022 is refusing to print a custom sized paper/card despite the size being within the limits stated in the spec - this is one reason I purchased this model.  It throws up an error message Selection conflicts were encountered  Print on both sides Flip on short edge or long edge when I try that.  I spent 8 hours over 2 days talking to Support and they tried everything they could think of and have now said they are unable to solve the problem.  I am therefore hoping someone in the Community has solved it.  I have had HP printers for the last 25 years and never had a problem, they just died of old age.  I put a piece of paper in and it printed whatever size and whatever settings.  It seems that modern technology leaves a lot to be desired.

@rain2020, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Are you using the Hp Smart app to print or the full-feature driver?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
  • How is the printer connected to the computer?
  • Is the printer firmware up to date?

Keep me posted.

Hi Thank  you for coming back to me.  In the meantime and following 18 hours talking to various people at tech support and finally being told they could not solve the problem (also being told by a support worker she would get back to me on Wednesday at 2pm I am still waiting after 72 hours.)  However after much trial and error since then (wasting paper and ink - nearly all the start up ink has gone) I solved the problem myself. I am fairly computer literate and it concerned me that it could not solve it  so I worried it out - it was not easy but I got there in the end.  More wasted paper and ink.  Thanks again
