I bought my first 6055 about 15 months ago. Continual little problems - having to unplug, then plug in again to get it to work, wouldn't connect to wifi, but the last straw was the cartridge not recognized after I installed a brand new HP black cartridge, ugh. I spent an hour waiting for customer service then an hour with them trying to fix it. Thought it was fixed, yeah, the very next morning SAME problem. Customer service agreed it was not fixable, sent me a new one. Well, here we go again! The only light on is the wifi light but the app says it's not connected to the internet. The cartridge door open light is on and will not go off no matter how many times I open and close it. I can't print anything! How do I get this to work?

@3bettins, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are not able to print due to this error. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
First, we will have to fix the error related to the door. Check for any obstructions/damages to the ink cartridge access door.
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Try making a copy from the flatbed glass. If the error about the door persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure.
