Hi,
My printer is well within warranty period.
While printing from my mobile phone (Android 10.0), randomly the printing stops in the middle or start of the pages. Also even when copying documents, I see gaps in printing. Retrying to copy or print solves the problem till now at least.
But this seems to be a manufacturing defect.
I bought the printer from Amazon.de. I live in Germany. Could you please help me on getting the issue resolved or on how I can get a replacement printer?
Thank you for the help

@Walldorfer, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand the printer stops printing intermittently in middle of a print job. To assist you better,
- Which application are you trying to print from?
- Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your computer.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Also, check for any updates available for the Android device.
Use the HP Smart app from Play Store to print. If already installed, reinstall the same and check the result.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
