HP Envy 6455e
Microsoft Windows 11

Own an HP Envy 6455e printer that will not print from my computer. When I send a print job, the printer feeds a blank sheet and makes noises like it's printing but sheet is blank. Printer will successfully print a Printer Information Report and a test page. Nothing else.

@Mario240, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Envy!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

This issue could be related to driver conflicts, print settings, or ink cartridge problems. Try the following steps:

1. Check Ink Levels and Cartridges

  • Open HP Smart or the printer control panel to check ink levels.
  • If the cartridges are low or empty, replace them.
  • Remove and reinsert the cartridges to ensure proper contact.

2. Run Printhead Cleaning

  • On the HP Smart app or printer settings, look for the "Printhead Cleaning" option and run it.
  • Print a test page again to see if it improves.

3. Verify Printer is Set as Default

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on HP Envy 6455e and select Set as Default Printer.

4. Update or Reinstall Drivers

  • Visit HP's Support Page and download the latest drivers.
  • Uninstall the printer from Device Manager and reinstall it.

5. Check Paper and Print Settings

  • Ensure you are printing on the correct paper type.
  • In the print settings, verify the correct paper size, type, and quality are selected.

6. Try Printing from a Different App

  • Attempt printing from Notepad or WordPad to check if the issue is specific to a program.

7. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from HP website.
  • Run the diagnostic tool to detect and fix issues automatically.

I hope it helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
