I know this is a little bit of a dated response but just wanted to weigh in. The Envy 7640 does not work well with MAC.  Period. Specifically the bonjour AirPrint support is completely inconsistent and you have to run through a series of troubleshooting steps each time you want to print.  Probably the most frustrating printer I have ever own as it relates to Mac support.  All the while my Windows 10 PC works flawlessly with it every time.  When the MAC reports Printer not found, or no paper, or comm error or any number of weird communication errors the PC still communicates and prints just fine.   HP should hang its head low on this one.  Absolutely terrible and resulted in my switch to canon.  Fool me once shame on you... fool me twice shame on me.
