I got the code 89E60250 today on my new HP Envy 7800 Printer. I have seen other posts on this code, but no explanation of what code 89E60250 means. Can someone please explain that the code means/indicates?

Restarted and code gone, but I have no confidence that problem has been fixed/eliminated. I want to understand the issue to make a decision on whether or not to keep this printer. Since purchase I would give this printer <5 on a 10 point scale.

Hi @jchart

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

HP ENVY Photo 7800 printer is a user-friendly and a multi-function printer suitable for home/office use.

The error code is related to a hardware glitch like a paper jam or print carriage jam.

To resolve these issues, kindly refer to this document.

Performing a hard reset by unplugging and replugging the power cable will help.

The troubleshooting documents for any errors can be found here.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Kumar0307,

I did not have a paper jam or a print cartridge jam. I did not get a "paper jam" error code. I had a blue screen with the code 89E60250 showing. I do not understand why HP cannot provide a list of codes that printer may display, what codes mean, and potential troubleshooting for each code. You tell me it's a hardware glitch and tech support says it was a wireless communication issue.

Yes, a hard reset did get my HP Envy 7800 working again.

When I finally got in contact with HP Tech Support to try to get information about "89E60250" I was told that the blue screen with code 89E60250 was likely due to communication issues with my router. HP support suggested updating router firmware, but my router already had the latest firmware installed. HP support then had me reset the wireless connection on HP Envy 7800 printer.

I still do not feel that HP has been upfront about the blue screen with code 89E60250. I am not convinced the issue is 100% resolved. It's very disappointing to purchase a new printer and have issues.

@jchart

I assume it was just a glitch in the printer. The printer is working fine with no errors now. I have mentioned the link to the available documents to troubleshoot any errors on the printer in my previous post to which you may refer to.

Keep us posted for any other assistance.
