Computer states that my printer status is "out of paper"  but there is paper in the printer and I print a test page from the actual printer

Hi,

 

Thank you for contacting HP.

If you are able to print a test page from the printer, then that means the printer is working fine.

 

The issue would be at the software end.

 

Try below steps.

1) While the printer is On, unplug the power cord directly from the rear of the unit.

2) Wait for 60 seconds and then replug the cord.

3) When the printer is on, check the software on the PC.

4) If it still shows error then you need to remove and reinstall the software.

5) Uninstall the printer software

6) Download the printer software from the below link and reinstall.
