HP Envy 7855 won't print on both sides anymore

My HP Envy Photo 7855 is 15 months old. It is suddenly having numerous problems.

The one I am asking about today is the two-sided printing. I use Microsoft Edge most of the time now. When I print something and set the printer "print on both sides" in MIcrosoft Edge, my printer doesn't print on both sides. It did before!

This problem showed up after I began having the following  problem: my printer suddenly started being offline. I have had to uninstall and reinstall the printer several times, in addition to doing other fixes.. I mention this because the printer started not printing on both sides after I did all of the fixes for being offline.

Yes, this model printer supports printing on both sides.

Have you tried using Google Chrome or Firefox to check if you are able to print on both sides from these apps?

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your PC.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
