ENVY Photo 6255
macOS 10.15 Catalina

IMG-4013.jpg

Hi,

I recently purchased the ENVY Photo 6255 and I was setting it up and noticed that when it prints, every other line produces smudged results and thus the print is distorted/smeared. Any tips on how to resolve this issue and or find what exactly is causing this? I've tried performing the cleaning and adjusting procedures multiple times, but to no avail. I feel like it might be a defective ink cartridge (the ones that came with the printer), but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

@printBliss, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I see that you're experiencing print quality issues on the printer and I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue. Like you mentioned it could be an issue with the ink cartridges or the printer ink system.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the ink or printer replacement since the printer is new.

Hope this helps!
