I've also had the same problem! I've had my printer for 4 years but hardly use it. It print fine a few times, but after about 1 year or more the black ink cartridge would not show up at all. It would be extremely faded and streaky or not even print and this was with half to almost full black ink cartridges. I've done print alignment, clean cartridges, cleaned inside the printer itself to make sure there's no dust, etc. multiple times and ran all the diagnostics and still comes out the same. Most places I try to take it to get it fixed say they can't because HP doesn't have parts available for some printers??? So I've had to print everything in color and no black. I started having issues after the warranty was up so now I'm stuck with it. Probably will end up get rid of it because it's been a headache to deal with. Unfortunately this has been a common occurrence for me with some of HP's ink jet printers. So frustrating.

Hi @Stephen1993,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear about the frustrating experience you've had with your HP ENVY Photo 7155 printer. It sounds like you've already tried several troubleshooting steps, including cleaning the cartridges and printer internals, as well as running diagnostics, with no improvement.
Here are a few additional steps you might consider:
- Check Ink Cartridge Expiry: Sometimes ink cartridges can expire, especially if they've been sitting unused for a long time. Check the expiration date on your black ink cartridge and consider replacing it if it's past the recommended date.
- Update Firmware: Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes firmware updates can fix bugs or improve printer performance.
- Printer Head Cleaning: Most printers have an option for deep cleaning or printer head alignment in their settings. Running these procedures might help improve print quality.
- Use Genuine Cartridges: Ensure you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Non-genuine cartridges or refilled cartridges may not work well with the printer and can cause print quality issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
