Hi @Sbarb18,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Envy Photo 7155 or 7858 printer is stuck on the loading screen, it can be frustrating, but there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.
- Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Check for Paper Jams: Ensure there are no paper jams inside the printer. Even a small piece of paper can cause loading issues.
- Check for Ink or Hardware Issues: Ensure that there are no hardware issues like empty ink cartridges or any other visible problems with the printer's components.
- Update Firmware: Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve software-related issues. You can typically update the firmware through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP website for firmware updates.
- Reset the Printer: You can try resetting the printer to its default settings. This can often be done through the printer's settings menu. Be aware that this will erase any custom settings you have configured.
- Reinstall the Printer Driver: If the issue persists, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the printer driver on your computer. Outdated or corrupt drivers can cause communication issues between the computer and the printer.
- Check Wi-Fi Connection: If your printer is connected wirelessly, ensure that it's properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, a weak or unstable Wi-Fi connection can lead to loading issues.
- Factory Reset: If none of the above steps work, you may need to perform a factory reset on your printer. This should be a last resort, as it will erase all settings and configurations. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do a factory reset.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
