HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer

Hi.  My HP Envy Photo 7155 stuck in frozen screen - when I plug it in, it turns on and shows a loading screen and just stays there.  The button on the printer is useless and does not turn it off or reset it.  I have tried the following:

- Unplugging and waiting five minutes (and ten minutes, and overnight) and plugging back in

- Unplugging, pressing the button for 15 seconds waiting 5 minutes and plugging back in

- Removing and reinstalling ink cartridges (with printer both on and off)

- Plugging into a different outlet

- Scan with HP Print and Scan Doctor 5.7.4

- Resetting my router

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @Protege,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you've tried several troubleshooting steps already, but your HP ENVY Photo 7155 printer is still stuck on a frozen screen. Here are a few more steps you can try to resolve this issue.

Hard Reset: Sometimes, a hard reset can help. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and then from the wall outlet. Wait for about a minute, and then plug it back in.

Firmware Update: Visit the HP website and check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the firmware can fix software-related issues.

Factory Reset: If the printer is still stuck, you can try a factory reset. Keep in mind that this will erase your printer's settings, so you'll need to set it up again.

  • With the printer on, unplug the power cord from the back.
  • Wait for a minute or two, then plug it back in while holding down the "Cancel" button.
  • Keep holding the "Cancel" button for about 10-15 seconds and then release it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
