I have had this printer for about one year.  I have been using HP 60 XL ink cartridges.  Now when I try to replace an empty black cartridge with a new one, I get an error message that the new cartridge is not correctly installed and I should remove it and reinstall.  I have done this a number of times and get the same error message.  If I put the old, empty cartridge in, there is no error message, However that cartridge is empty.  I have tried all the suggested steps including cleaning.  I have tried HP 60 ink cartridge and get the same error message.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi @Danno1106

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Appreciate you trying the steps. This looks like an issue with the ink cartridges. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the replacement of the ink.

Hope this helps!
