My Envy 7855 is stuck at the initialization screen. Had a power flicker. Any suggestions on how to get the printer to power up properly? (The printer is stuck at this screen. Power button is unresponsive. I have unplugged/ replugged, etc., all to no avail.)

Hi @T1700_user,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Envy 7855 is stuck at the initialization screen and the power button is unresponsive after a power flicker, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue.
-
Unplug and Replug:
- Ensure that the printer is unplugged from the power source.
- Wait for a few minutes to allow any residual power to dissipate.
- Plug the printer back in and attempt to power it on.
-
Check Power Source:
- Ensure that the power outlet is working properly by plugging another device into the same outlet.
- Try plugging the printer into a different power outlet to eliminate the possibility of an issue with the outlet.
-
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Disconnect any other cables connected to the printer.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and other cables.
- Power on the printer.
-
Check for Physical Damage:
- Inspect the power cord and make sure it's not damaged.
- Examine the printer for any visible signs of damage, especially around the power button area.
-
Update Firmware (if possible):
- If the printer has an option for firmware updates, check the HP website for the latest firmware version. Follow the instructions to update the firmware if you can do so.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
