The paper jammed in my printer. Now it will not print. Copy menu: plain has green light (not blinking). "E" error code next to words Start Copy. In "Attention!" the Black/Photo orange button is flashing & the resume light is not blinking at all. The Green power button is on, steady and not blinking.

Hello, @PeggyW17 – Greetings!

Thanks for joining the HP Support Forums! I would glad to be of your assistance 🙂

I understand that you are facing issues while printing after a recent paper jam. I found a wonderful YouTube video which will help you fix this issue!

Follow the steps listed here: Fixing Paper Pick-Up Issues | HP Deskjet F4180 All-in-One Printer | HP

I would suggest performing a printer power drain once all the steps are performed. Follow the steps below to do a printer power drain:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Those steps should do the trick, let me know how that goes!

Cheers 🙂
