HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130fw

Persistent code 49 error.  Hasn't printed anything in weeks. Will say it is in ready state until I hit print, then printer offline message pops up.   I have followed every trouble shooting "solution" .  Also, unable to update firmware, even if trying to send from computer to printer; just gives an error cannot print message.  I have uninstalled, reinstalled, I have reset, I have moved the plug from surge bar directly to outlet, I have tried with a USB cord, wireless, bluetooth.  All fail.  I have downloaded the newest install package.  I've spent 3 full days on this.  Is it written into the HP software to just shut these down after they have reached a certain age?  Even if I have had for less than 4 years?  Is it just junk?   #beyondfrustrated. Running windows 10.
