HP Laser MFP 135w
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I see quite a few posts and queries about stuck print queues. I followed the suggested solution, including deleting the spooler files, remove and reinstalling the print drive. Nothing worked. I run diagnosis via HP Smart print, it couldn't find any issue but suggested a test print, which never went through. I downloaded HP print and scan doctor, which after a few diagnosis, concluded that I have a significant issue. It suggested that I get HP help, but there is no numbers to call, but directed me to get help from the forum. Anyone can help me with this?

Hi @YWai

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're having a tough time with your HP Laser MFP 135w printer and a stuck print queue. Here are some additional troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Clear the Print Queue Manually

Open Print Queue:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your HP Laser MFP 135w and select See what's printing.

Cancel All Documents:

  • In the print queue window, click on Printer in the menu and select Cancel All Documents. If there are any jobs stuck in the queue, this should clear them.

2. Restart Print Spooler Service

Open Services:

  • Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog, type services.msc, and press Enter.

Find Print Spooler:

  • Locate the Print Spooler service in the list.

Restart Service:

  • Right-click on Print Spooler and select Restart. This can help clear any issues related to the print queue.

3. Reinstall the Printer Driver

Remove the Printer:

  • In Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer and select Remove Device.

Download the Latest Driver:

  • Go to the HP Drivers & Software page and download the latest driver for your printer model.

Install the Driver:

  • After downloading, install the driver and follow the prompts to set up your printer again.

4. Check for Windows Updates

  1. Update Windows:
    • Ensure your operating system is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

5. Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor Again

  1. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
    • Sometimes running the tool a second time can yield different results, especially after clearing the queue or reinstalling the driver.

6. Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings

  1. Disable Firewall/Antivirus Temporarily:
    • Sometimes firewall or antivirus software can interfere with printing. Temporarily disable them and see if it resolves the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
