HP LaserJet M1132 MFP
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have two HP LaserJet M1132 MFP printers, and on both of them there is a problem, when I try to make a photocopy, the printer scans the document but does not print it (gives an error and that's all). At the same time, I can both print the file from my PC or scan the file for saving (problems only when I try photocopying). I already tried reinstalling the drivers, used HP Print and Scan Doctor, flashed the printer using the official software, connected the printer directly to the outlet and not through an extension cord (I thought the power supply was not enogh), but the problem is still there. I repeat, I have two such printers and both have the same problem, and I used all the methods to solve it for both. I don't know what's wrong with them, I'm complaining about the incorrect operation of the scanning line (but I could be wrong).
P.S. I'm sorry if I didn't describe it very clearly, English is not my native language.

Hi @Kyrylo_CHORT,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It's unusual to encounter the same issue on two identical printers, but there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to try to resolve the problem with photocopying on your HP LaserJet M1132 MFP printers.

Check Toner or Ink Levels: Ensure that both printers have sufficient toner or ink levels. Low toner or ink can sometimes cause issues with printing or photocopying. Replace the toner or ink cartridges if they are low.

Check Paper Tray and Paper Type: Make sure that the paper in the paper tray is the correct type and size for photocopying. Incorrect paper settings can lead to errors.

Reset to Factory Defaults:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Setup or Configuration menu.
  • Look for an option to reset the printer to factory defaults or restore settings. This will usually be under the "Service" or "Tools" menu.
  • After resetting, configure the printer settings again as needed.

Firmware Update: Ensure that the printers have the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve issues with the printer's functionality. You mentioned flashing the printer, so it's important to make sure you have the most recent firmware.

Clean the Scanner Glass: Dust or debris on the scanner glass can affect the quality of scanned copies. Carefully clean the scanner glass with a lint-free cloth and some glass cleaner.

Inspect for Paper Jams or Obstructions: Check for any paper jams or obstructions inside the printer. Even small bits of paper or debris can disrupt the photocopying process.

Test Different Documents: Try photocopying different types of documents, including text, images, and mixed content. This can help determine if the issue is specific to certain types of documents.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
