HP LaserJet M15w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I have a HP LaserJet M15w that has worked fabulously until just now. The main issue is that it occasionally prints, but most of the time it throws an error saying paper isn't loaded at all. This showed up just last month literally right the day after my warranty expired and has persisted ever since.

I have good quality paper matching printer specifications. It's very dry at where I live so the paper I have doesn't degrade. I tried cleaning out the toner, pickup roller, resetting the printer, and using different papers. I did notice a bit dust in the toner, but that did not affect the quality nor did it prevent me from printing.

Pickup roller works fine.

Toner works fine.

I suspected it's the sensor for picking up the paper that's having the issue. Document c05856801 doesn't help with this either. I decided to try fiddle with the paper by forcing it against the sensor and it finally printed, but this doesn't always work. I tried shaking the paper slightly to see if the sensor picks it up, but this causes the paper to crinkle up during the printing process because it's not in alignment.

Any idea how I can make the sensor work reliably?

Like you already mentioned it could be an issue with the paper sensor. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue.
