Wow. I guess I find myself in the same boat. Recently received M527z, but can't configure because I don't have the Administrator password. I was able to accomplish a reset from the device itself, but no luck getting in remotely to configure anything. Need default Administrator password, and/or the ability to truly reset the printer to factory default. (Will still need a default password, no?) Thanks in advance for any help. Mark

Hello, Find below instruction: 1) Turn off and on the printer 2) When the "1/8" appears under the HP logo, quickly touch the screen 3) If done correctly you will enter the pre-boot menu. If not, go back to step 1 4) Go to Administrator -> Partial Clean and select OK. Nothing visible will happen 5) Go back and select Continue. Let the printer boot to language/time/date settings. This may take several minutes.

Hi everyone,
I need to reset my LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw. It asks for a password when I go in to the service menu. I printed out the configuration report and could not find anything on there.
Very grateful for any help.
Thank you!
Sonja

I have a printer HP LaserJet MFP M527 with FutureSmart 3 touchscreen. I configure users, but now they do not appear. I try to login as an administrator, but the password is incorrect.
I decided to reset the printer, but I can not find how to do it.
Can you help me please.
Thank
