Can you help?

I struggled to delete the driver because the “System was in use.” Once I figured out how to delete print queue, I was able to delete and then reinstall the driver. All is well. 🙂

Hi @TCaruthers,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I noticed that your HP Laserjet p1606dn printer is in an error state and will not print on Windows 10. And, I am happy to help!
Some questions for you:
- Are you able to print a configuration page? Printing a Configuration Page.
- Do you see any blinking lights on the printer?
In the meantime, please try a hard reset:
- Unplug all cables and memory cards from the printer. Unplug the power cord, directly from the back of the printer while the printer is still turned on.
- Unplug the other end of the cord from the power source.
- If there is a power module on the power cord, disconnect one end and reconnect it.
- After 60 seconds, plug the cord directly into a wall outlet ( not a surge protector or battery backup ).
- Plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
- The printer should automatically power back up. If it doesn't, turn it on with the power button.
- Try making a photocopy (if your printer is an all-in-on printer) before connecting any other cables to the printer.
- Connect any other needed cables to the printer.
If this resolves your issue, no further troubleshooting is needed. You can take additional steps if needed, but this is often a good first step.
It is recommended that the printer be plugged directly to a wall outlet to insure a consistent level of power. Sometimes, when plugged into a surge protector or battery backup, the correct amount of electricity is not received by the printer. Power issues can cause printing problems. Being plugged directly into a wall outlet is especially important when experiencing wireless connectivity problems, sleep mode and other power issues.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
