@Pinetrees1 Welcome to HP Community!
I suggest you check my private message for steps on performing a full reset, the instructions are designed for your specific printer and if anyone with a different model would try the steps, it may render the printer unstable, hence a private message would be the safest way of sharing this information:
Click here to know how the private message function works.
(Only works for the HP Laserjet Pro MFP M28w, so let me know if you have a different printer)
Stand by for updates!
And have a good day.
(P.S: If anyone wants these instructions for their specific printers, please create a public post and tag me, I'll be happy to help).

@sdemulling8817 Welcome to HP Community!
Note: Please ensure the complete product name/number for a quicker response from the community, as we need to know what we are dealing with to provide an accurate solution:
Click here for steps on finding the information we need!
Remember: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
Meanwhile, let's perform a hard reset (steps mentioned below) on the printer, followed by regular factory reset using the settings menu & let me know how it goes!
Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE:
HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
The answer to the above question will help me, help you!
Keep me posted, and if any of the above questionnaires helped resolve the issue,
Mark this post as an "Accepted Solution".
Good luck.

@uklwQrVQsFDg I know this may sound like a broken record with repeated messages, although, it's important that you know why we are using the private message function, that said, I suggest you check my private message for steps on performing a full reset, the instructions are designed for your specific printer and if anyone with a different model would try the steps, it may render the printer unstable, hence a private message would be the safest way of sharing this information:

Buongiorno, la mia stampante m28w è bloccata. Quando premo il tasto On, la stampante si accende e la spia verde di accensione lampeggia. Anche la scritta HP sul display è intermittente. Ho provato ad effettuare le operazioni di rimozione del cavo di alimentazione ma la stampante non da segnali.
Grazie a tutti
