System:

HP LaserJet Pro MFP M479dw; WiFi connected to Cable-Router.

MacOS Ventura 13.4; WiFi.

 

HP LaserJet Pro MFP M479dw Toner contacts problem, because the new cartridge can not be read.

How can the contacts in the printer be cleaned. The old cartridge gave the same problem, therefore I replaced it with another. The old cartridge got contaminated with a sticky substance, that seems to have got onto the printer connection. All I need is a service Manual (PDF) to open and do the task of cleaning. I'm a technician with 30 years fixing anything in IT, but need some guidance how it can be cleaned, i.e. opening and closing the printer. I have the official "HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479 Service Manual- Troubleshooting" . It does not show servicing the mechanics.

 

Would appreciate a link to a service manual.
