Hi @FBEN,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP LaserJet printer is printing multiple blank pages with the same four lines at the top after each print job, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
Check for Software Settings:
- Open the print settings on your computer and ensure that you haven't accidentally set the number of copies to more than one. Make sure you're only requesting one copy of your document.
- Also, check the page range settings to make sure you're not inadvertently printing multiple pages.
Check the Printer's Control Panel:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate through the menu to check if there are any additional print jobs stuck in the print queue. If so, cancel them.
Printer Driver Update:
- Outdated or corrupt printer drivers can sometimes cause printing issues. Visit the HP website and download the latest driver for your HP LaserJet M201dw printer.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Similarly, make sure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. You can find firmware updates on the HP website.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and leave it disconnected for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can often resolve minor issues.
Check for Print Spooler Issues (Windows):
- Sometimes, the Windows Print Spooler service can cause problems. Try restarting the Print Spooler service. You can do this by opening the Run dialog (Win + R), typing "services.msc," finding "Print Spooler" in the list, right-clicking it, and selecting "Restart."
Check for Print Queue (Mac):
- If you're using a Mac, open the "Printers & Scanners" settings in System Preferences. Select your printer, and click on the "Open Print Queue" button. Check if there are any additional jobs in the queue and cancel them if needed.
Check for Paper Tray and Page Size Settings:
- Make sure the paper tray is loaded with the correct paper size, and the settings on the printer match the paper size you are using.
Factory Reset (As a Last Resort):
- If all else fails, you can perform a factory reset on your printer to restore it to its default settings. Please consult your printer's manual or HP's support website for instructions on how to do this.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
