P3015 is a networked printer.

Two  win10/64 computers connected to network work perfectly all the time with this printer. No problem with duplex printing ever.

One computer, a more update system (11th gen intel) has the problem that, each time I print after starting a new session on windows, I must reconfigure the printer device settings to indicate that   the duplex capability is installed.  It simply is removed when I sign out of windows, i.e. it is set to "not installed" automatically.

I recently updated from win10  to win11 on this computer and the problem persists now under win11.

Why is the "installed" flag not permanent on one computer?  I cannot see a difference between the three machine setups.

Which driver are you using and how do you connect the driver, a standard tcp/ip port or a wsd port.

HP LaserJet P3011/P3015 PCL6 Class Drive

WSD Port

On the other machine here in this office running wins10 it says:

HP Universal Printing PCL-6 is the driver.  Funnily, under the 'settings ap, printers and scanners', it says that the 'driver is unavailable'.  Yet, the printer works without a problem.   I cannot find any 'port' information.  There is no tab with that data.

Before asking for help, I downloaded and I tried setting up this 'universal' driver on the machine with the problem, but each time I print it asks me for the printer ID which leads to 3 min of handshaking.   So, I removed the driver.
