I've got a HP Laserjet Pro m428f and 3-4 days ago I began having issues with Scanning at the LCD panel. I've long had a QuickSet to Scan to Email that worked.
Now I see "There was an internal processing error. Please retry or manually check the firmware updates." on the LCD screen
I've tried many things but still cannot get it fixed. I hope someone can provide me a solution.
Using MS Edge I accessed the web gui. Added a NEW Quickset and the same error
In the GUI I went to the default email settings and when I attempt to send test messages get a Certificate error.
If I turn off having the printer check the Certificate I get a System Error.
Using the GUI I did a factory reset and tried the above all over again. Failed.
I've unplugged the printer for 10 minutes - replugged and still the same.
I've tried creating a new Certificate but still failures.

I know my SMTP servers is correct and I know about Application Specific Passwords.
