M252n
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP 252n doesn't print black at all, despite registering the black cartridge (and showing it at c90% full). Have also tried a brand new black cartridge, same problem.

The 3 colours all printed fine, just not black.

Any ideas, please?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

You can try the steps from here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-color-laserjet-pro-m252-series/7089938/model/7089939/documen...

If the issue persists, I recommend you to contact the HP Support Team regarding this as this could be a hardware issue.

Thanks, but I have run through all those steps in the document at least twice, to no avail.

As you say, it sounds like a hardware issue affecting the contacts between the printer and the black cartidge. The colour ones all print fine.

Since you've tried two new cartridges too, this looks  like an issue with the Printer.
