HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fnw

Upon inserting the toners, I get the error message "The indicated cartridges have been blocked by the printer firmware because they contain a non-HP chip. etc etc".

We've used the supplier for years, so I'm more inclined to believe this is a printer issue, especially as it is the whole set doing this, not just one cartridge.

Firmware is up to date, and cartridge policy is set to off in the settings, so it should be allowing third party cartridges.

The issue is toner vendors who are saving money by not using HP or HP compliant chips. They are out there. Some suggest removing the chips from old cartridges that did work and attaching them to the new cartridges.
