After installing the macOS Sierra 10.12.4 update, my MacBook Air would not recognize my HP 6600 printer. I would have to turn the printer off and on to get it recognized. Finally I deleted the printer and reinstalled the HP drivers. During the set-up my mac did not recognize my printer. I can't print anything now from the MacAir Book. My Mac desk top has the same issue after the update with macOS Sierra 10.12.4. I have to turn the printer off and on to print anything. My printer and macs are connected to my wifi. My router lights are all okay. The blue light on my 6600 is on and steady. Help!

I tried the steps suggested in the Mac-Apple Support site. They didn't work. My Macs don't recognize my printer on our wifi. It does recognize it when we scan. Very strange. I'm at a loss as to what to try next.
