OfficeJet 7500A
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
  • Print heads do not work.  Will not print or copy.
  • First error message was cartridge failure (almost new).  Replaced cartridge
  • Ran HP support, which said firmware must be re-loaded.
    • Attempted to reload firmware.  Could not select the machine in the set up window, and firmware did not load.
  •  Re-ran printer doctor and it showed the firmware was up to date ( current is OJ750_E910_1315.1).
  • Printer failed self clean cycle
  • failed alignment cycles.
  • Ink utilitiy does show ink in cartridges.
  •  Reset the printer by removing power while on, removing cord from outlet, and holding power button down for 30 sec.  Above done with all ink cartridges removed.  Replace ink cartridges and machine did not go through self test/set-up, just came on.   Still will not copy or print. in either black or color.
  • Has he print head failed?  How do I check?  Can it be replaced?
  • Has the flex circuit gone open?
  • What do I do next?
  • Thanks
