Hi,
Hope someone can help with this problem. I have printed in colour before using this printer and with Windows10 but suddenly I cannot find the option to print in colour/black and white or greyscale? It seems to have disappeared! I am using Word Pro 2016. I would be grateful for any ideas?

Thanks for taking the time to reply, much appreciated. I contacted HP yesterday regarding this. The software I originally downloaded (following the purchase of a new laptop) must of had a glitch in it. The advisor remote accessed for me and took everything off and completely reinstalled using a different link. She needed to reconfigure wifi too! I could never have done that! Fantastic customer support HP! Thanks again

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you have an HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer and do not find the options to print in color anymore using Word pro 2016. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.
To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Please try to print from another application and check if there are settings available to print in color.
- When was the last time the settings to print in color were available and did any software changes take place after that?
I suggest you to perform the following steps to check the print settings;
- Search and open "devices and printers" in Windows 10.
- This will open a window with your printer listed in it.
- Right-click on your printer and select Printing preferences.
- If the option to print in color is absent then please continue with the below steps.
Please download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor software. This is a free tool for Windows to help resolve issues with the printer drivers.
If the issue persists then uninstall the drivers from the root level and then reinstall them back by following the below steps:
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- You may download and install the drivers from this link.
I hope this helps. Let me know Cheers!

Unfortunately, this procedure makes the print driver less functional. I can not access the printer properties from the print menu, and the printer does not respond (black and white, or color) when I send a documet to print.
Any other suggestions?
