Hi @1950Eagle,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet 4650 printer has a blue display screen and is unresponsive, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.
- Restart the printer: Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord from the power outlet, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Turn on the printer and check if the display screen is still blue and unresponsive.
- Check the connections: Ensure that all cables and connections between the printer and your computer or network are securely connected. If using a USB connection, try using a different USB port or cable to rule out any connection issues.
- Perform a hard reset: Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it is still turned on. Wait for about 60 seconds, and then reconnect the power cord. Turn on the printer and check if the display screen is functioning properly now.
- Update the firmware: Visit the official HP website and search for the support page for your printer model. Look for any available firmware updates for your printer and follow the instructions provided to update the firmware. Firmware updates can sometimes resolve software-related issues.
- Factory reset: If the above steps don't work, you can try performing a factory reset on your printer. Note that a factory reset will erase any custom settings and restore the printer to its original factory settings. The steps to perform a factory reset can vary depending on the printer model, so refer to your printer's user manual or the HP support website for specific instructions.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
