Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have verified I have the current driver but I'm not sure it's the right one.  Microsoft IPP Class Driver (Network)   I set the preferences to two-sided, flip long and also in the print window.  I tried the flip short side and still prints upside down.  I am printing portrait pages.  This is new, I'm thinking maybe a Windows 10 issue after the last update.

@Dellrosie

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:

Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

Once done, please download and install the software from here:

Thanks, Betty0610 for replying.  I did the root uninstall/reinstall and I now I have a new driver but the auto duplex feature is not installed and when I say to install it the drop-down just flips back to off.  Is the auto duplex feature a separate installation?

HP Recommended

No it's not. Let's try a built-in driver: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01796879

Sorry, that didn't work.  After I went through the steps and loaded the Windows driver, the test page never printed.  I reloaded the original software and here's what's strange.  As soon as I reloaded the driver and checked properties for auto-duplex printing it said installed.  I went to the preferences and it said it was manual duplexing.  I went back to properties and now not installed. At least I have my printer sans auto-duplexing.  I can manually duplex once I figure out how to reload the pages.  Also, the original software I had, Microsoft IPP Class Driver (Network), was that the wrong driver to begin with?

Anyway, thanks for your help.  I know this problem keeps showing up because I've tried everything I could find online.  Nothing fixes the problem so I'm thinking eventually someone with find the solution.

I really appreciate your help.  Thanks.

Let's uninstall the software again and install the driver through this method:

Create a TCP IP port

1. Print a Configuration Page to get the printer's IPv4 address (you can also tap on the wireless icon on the front panel of your Printer to get the IP address)

2. On your PC, go to Control Panel, from Devices and Printers, right-click the printer and left-click Printer Properties, select the Ports tab.

3. Click Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then select New Port and follow the wizard.

4. Type in the proper IP address for the printer.

This video resource will show you how to do it:

Create & Use TCP IP port

I know this is going to sound weird but now I have auto-duplex printing with both sides of the page right side up but now no color...it seems like my printer is downloading its own updates which I guess is possible.  I will try your last solution however just to see what happens.  Thanks.
