Hello riddle, I hope you can help me. I'm also getting this error message, and I am wondering how the tape like connectors are supposed to look on the right side of the printhead. There is a thin one, and mine appears to be folded, and I am wondering if this may be the cause of my problem. I couldn't find a photo online to show what it is supposed to look like. I hope you can help me soon, as we're a business, and this printer is only 3 years old, sadly it is discontinued 😞
Thank you,
Mary Pat

@blandingplumbin Welcome to HP Forums!
If you haven't done it already, I suggest you refer the original thread for steps to resolve the printhead error: Click here to access the same (If you've got the same printer), if not, let me know which printer you've got, although, I've reviewed your post and the picture you've shared, it looks like that is indeed the issue and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options:
follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on "Continue as guest".
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, is yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,
here's how private messages work: Click here for details.
I hope that answers your query,
If it did, simply select "Accept as solution", to help the community grow,
And if you wish to thank us for our efforts, click on the thumbs up for kudos.
Have a great day ahead.

@blandingplumbin It looks like a head flat cable, although, I'm not sure exactly what it's for, as we aren't trained on internal components of printers, the best thing you can do is get the printer replaced at this point.
Please try the steps suggested to Contact HP.
I hope that helps!
