Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

I need helps on HP OfficeJet 8720

I tried to print a greeting card birthday for my son. But many times I tried to print on thick paper / on cardstock. The color that came out was not uniform. Sometimes there are almost black marks. (But I use the whole paper without a problem) I adjusted the paper settings exactly as we used, but did not succeed. We performed many experiments...Please helps

Thanks

Nana!

The Printer supports "Index" paper card stock to the weight shown in the Specs - this may or may not be the kind of paper you are using.  Paper texture, thickness, and weight can be tricky when using something described as "card stock" on the package of paper.

I have posted a lot of information (my observations) on the subject.   I create and print all my own cards, invitations, mixed content documents, and photos.  I am not an expert in the field of printing cards - I just do a lot of it.  Smiling.

Assuming the printer is clean (rollers, too, inside the printer), the ink supply is clean and full (or at least not "low"), and that the printer passes all the standard "printer quality" reports, then the printer should be able to perform the simple task of printing a document in "card" format (folded paper).

Rather than spew out the usual, I will in this case make a simple recommendation:  Purchase some HP Brochure matte paper and use that.  The paper is 180 gsm (within the specs for weight) and the paper type is supported in the printer.  The paper is "just heavy enough" to make a half-way decent card and supports printing on both sides without leaking through from one side to the other.  (I usually space unusually dense photos so they are not completely overlapping when printing on both sides.)
