HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 Color printing/copying problem

We have an HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 printer that will not print or copy any color.  This printer is out of warranty but it is only about 3 or 4 years old and has NOT been used much at all.  It was in my husband's office when her arrived about 15 months ago at this church.  It was used by the previous pastor with no problems, according to the secretary here.  Now, it has sat unused for probably about a year.  I have just replaced all the color cartridges with brand new ones.  I have done all of the troubleshooting tips given by the HP Virtual Chat assistant.  This printer does not seem to have a removable printhead.  I am thinking the printhead for the color cartridges may be clogged with dry ink but I do not know how to resolve that.  Can anyone assist me?

If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
