My HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 stopped printing in color so I assumed the ink was low and replaced all of the color inks with new HP inks. But I still only get black print outs. I cleaned the printerhead 3 times. I tried printing from different computers and then making a color copy. I took out all of the ink cartridges and unplugged the printer for a while then plugged it back in, re-inserted the ink, still only black prints. I made sure the ink is installed correctly and that the tops of the ink cartridges are vented. I tried printing a diagnostic page, but that also prints in black only. I had this printer for a little over a year so the warranty is expired. Any other ideas on what I can do to resolve this? Thanks

Hello,

I'd suggest you to try all the steps as mentioned in the document whose URL is below.

If issue still persists, then it could be an issue with faulty printhead. However the printhead is a fixed part in this printer and would lead to printer replacement.

I tried all of the steps in the link with no success. Is there anything else that I can do? I was hoping this printer would last longer than a year.

If you have followed all the troubleshooting steps from this document HP OfficeJet 6900 Printers - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and still facing issues, it could be a hardware failure.
