I have not been able to get this printer to work properly from day one. It will sometimes print from a browser window, but will not print from other programs, such as photoshop, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, or UPS Worldship, Endicia Dazzle, Adobe Acrobat, etc. When trying to print, they seem to appear in the printing queue but then it just disappears and the printer does not print.

Sometimes the printer does not work between the computer and printer at all. It is connected via USB. I used the HP Print and Scan Doctor to fix that when that happens. But I have never been able to get the printer to print stuff from other programs.

I have never had a printer with so many problems before. I'm wondering if I could just send back the ink I bought from HP and then just throw the printer away.

Thank you very much for the help. I think that might have fixed it. I have not tried all of the programs but I was able to print from Adobe Acrobat.

I attempted this fix for my Officejet Pro 6978, and it did not work.  I can't print anything from my computer, which is crazy because I have an HP Pavilion 23.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the full feature software about 10 times.  I've tried it with WiFi and an ethernet connection.  I still cannot print ANYTHING from my computer.  However, I CAN print things from my iPhones and laptops.  My computer and printer are on the same network.  Any ideas?  I'm at my wit's end!  I'm thinking I should never have repalced my old HP printer!

To be honest, I ended up throwing mine away even though it was less than a year old. It constantly had problems. I still have some new ink cartridges that are just sitting here. If anyone wants them, let me know.

My printer ran out of ink.  I replaced all the cartridges.  Now I can't print anything.  I tried all the things that customer service suggested but nothing worked.  I even found glue in the grooves for the vent for the black cartridge which I cleaned but that still didn't work. I just don't understand how I could be having this kind of problem from replacing ink cartridges.  Please help.
