If you are experiencing a blank screen and flashing lights on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 printer, it could be an indication of a hardware or software issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.

Wait for a few minutes and then plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

If the issue persists, try resetting the printer to its default settings by following these steps:

a. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
b. Wait for a few minutes, and then press and hold the power button on the printer for 15 seconds.
c. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

If resetting the printer doesn't work, try updating the firmware of the printer. You can download the latest firmware from the HP website and install it on your printer.

If none of the above steps work, it may be a hardware issue, and you should contact HP support for further assistance.
