HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-in-One Printer

HP Officejet Pro 8025 is showing a 71.02.4A error.

I have followed the reset procedure of removing cartridges, unplugging for 60 seconds, turning back on and reinstalling cartridges. This has not worked. I saw that the K (black cartridge) was not reading so replaced it and redid the reset procedure - still no luck.

Finally I've done a factory reset. Nothing has fixed the problem. The printer is less than 4 years old and doesn't get much use. This is extremely disappointing as a customer.

Hi @WAPOS24,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've done quite a bit to troubleshoot the issue already. The error code you're encountering, 71.02.4A, typically indicates a problem with the printer's internal hardware or firmware. Since you've already tried basic troubleshooting steps like removing and reinstalling cartridges and performing a factory reset.

Here are a few additional steps you can try.

  • Check for Firmware Updates: Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve issues like this. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP support website.
  • Inspect for Obstructions: Check the printer for any obstructions, such as small pieces of paper or debris, that might be causing the error.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
