Keeps flashing about alignment.  But will not align on it's own.  Without alignment I can't print.

@Nettie64

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

As I understand the printer has blinking lights and you are unable to align the printer,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Have you identified what the blinks represent?

While you respond to that, here's what you need to do:

The blinking lights on the front of the printer indicate the printer status. These lights can be on, off, or blinking (flashing), depending on the status of the printer. Blinking lights can indicate error conditions. They might also indicate that the printer is initializing or processing a print job.

  3. Out of Paper icon (Visible only when the printer is out of paper)

  4. Paper Jam icon (Visible only when paper is jammed or the carriage is stalled)

  5. Resume light and button

  6. Cancel button

  7. Power light and button

  8. ePrint light and button

The following sections describe the most common issues related to the light patterns on your printer. Find the issue related to the blinking lights pattern you are experiencing, and then follow the steps to resolve the issue.
